Human Hair Weave - Machine Weft Hair Extension
Machine-wefts are hair weave extensions created by sewing the strands of hair together in a special hair sewing machine also known as wefting machine. It is a kind of hair extension where the hair is folded and sewed to hold the hair and prevent it from shedding. A tract or a line is created and this is where the natural hair is attached. This is the most popular hair extension in North America and Africa because it is easier to manage. That is why these can be found in most salons and retail stores sold in bundles. Depending on the workmanship, machine weft hair will also last a long time with less shedding.
These wefts are very versatile and easy to attach because you can trim and style the hair to blend in with your natural hair without damaging the wefts. Machine wefts works very well on clip-in hair extensions.
Most of hair factories only have one density or thickness of weft. In La Filipina, we accept customized density. This can be higher or lower by 1 to 2 levels from the standard. Clients who want a longer width may order a lower density and some who prefers shorter width can order higher density. This is an advantage for our clients as they can have a flexible and versatile weft.

Comparison of Machine Weft vs. Handmade Weft Hair Extension
The handmade weft is a much smaller and thinner weft than the common machine weft hair, thus it gives a seamless and more natural look. These wefts are hand sewn which secures the weft and prevents it from shedding. It is also durable that allows longer wear per track compared to other hair wefts.
Machine weft is very common so you won’t need a hair extension professional to do the attachment while hand weft, you will need an experienced hair extension professional to do the attachment.
In machine weft, cutting of the track or line is possible but not in hand weft.
